We are actively recruiting for a temporary to hire Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our client, a water purification manufacturer in San Clemente, CA.

Job Description

Efficiently manage outgoing shipments and receive incoming materials and goods. Accurately document both activities in logs and All Orders software. Accurately pick and package outgoing shipments including printing shipping labels and affixing all documents required for that shipment. Place all incoming raw materials and goods in the proper locations.

Inventory raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods, test and inspect materials as required by IQC. Have knowledge of all parts and components, inventory location and where components/materials will be staged for production.

Has working knowledge of inventory management and control. Employee will handle disposition on non-conforming parts, i.e., vendor returns. Employee will also manage material location transfers of raw materials to and from vendors.

This position will require the employee to complete final assembly of product, place product in inventory or stage for shipping.


Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory Management, including
• Handling outgoing shipments and incoming receipts.
• Accurately documenting shipments and receipts in written logs and in All Orders software.
• Reporting receipt discrepancies to Purchasing Manager.
• Report and document damage to incoming packaging and any damage to parts and/or materials.
• Accurately picking and packaging products per “pick tickets” provided by Customer Service.
• Packaging standard and non-standard shipments per Company guidelines and providing estimated weights and dimensions for freight quotes as requested by Customer Service. Highlighting potential “dimensional weight” problems.
• Printing and verifying shipping labels and documents and affixing documents to shipment.
• Knowledge of correct documents for domestic and export shipping.
• Inventory (raw material and finished goods) stock management, knows all inventory
and non-inventory parts, how they are used, and where they are stocked.
• Understand and participate in inventory management and inventory counting. Help identify potential stock shortfalls and establish reorder quantities as needed.
• Manage disposition of non-conforming parts, i.e. vendor returns, and location transfers.
• Final assembly of products and notifications to production scheduling.
• Quality Control of both finished goods and incoming materials per Company IQC
• Administrative Support to the Production Manager
• Other as needed by the company
• Good written and oral communication skill, must speak and write in English
