General Manager

We are actively searching for a Direct Hire General Manager for our client, a world leading traffic control and crash attenuation products manufacturing company based in Adelanto, CA.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 Annually

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Coast Rubber Products Division manufacturing facility with full responsibility for the Division’s profitability, taking a hands-on management approach this position plans, guides, and directs the plant operations to achieve plant objectives in safety, quality, production output, delivery and customer satisfaction. Oversees the division’s employees, materials and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring successful and timely development and implementation of efficient processes to support the continued growth and expansion of the Division.

Rubber molding (3 shifts, 5 days per week), including purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, quality assurance, and customer service.
Control of all operational aspects including profit, manufacturing operations, administration, quality, facilities, health & safety, finance, and compliance.
Manages and maintains labor and operating costs in accordance with budgets and strategic goals.
Makes sure that manufacturing units are continuously monitored, and performance is optimized.
Develops and ensures standardization of practices throughout the entire facility and where applicable align with the long term strategy.
Improve the current manufacturing performance tracking systems to align with the key performance indicators.
Ensures that quality and safety standards are understood and met.
Ensures the facility remains in compliance with various regulatory standards.
Looks for opportunities to improve the current manufacturing processes.
Develop and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a robust performance driven culture.
Strong leader that supports and motivates employee’s
Performance management initiatives and effectiveness.
Oversees the hiring and development of staff to build high performing teams.
Participates in management meetings with other members of the senior management team to establish, delineate, and review organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments and company locations, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.

Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, industrial engineering or operations management.
Fifteen (15) years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably as General Manager or at least ten (10) years of increasing management responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and experience in rubber manufacturing and processes a plus!
