Construction Manager

About the Role: The Construction Manager will oversee project management and owner representation for multi-use sports and recreation facilities, entertainment venues, and commercial mixed-use developments. The CM will be responsible for ensuring projects are well-organized, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the construction industry, driving efficiency and results by coordinating projects from preconstruction through close-out.

Must have: have project experience with stadiums, arenas, or larger community event/recreation centers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical aspects of projects, including site evaluations, due diligence, preconstruction, and construction phases.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to utilize project management software to track budgets, timelines, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Review project plans and schedules to ensure alignment with goals and budgets, monitoring progress and managing expenditures.
  • Ensure construction quality meets industry standards, codes, and safety guidelines, while collaborating with architects to interpret design plans.
  • Manage design changes, RFIs, and technical issues, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory authorities, to obtain necessary permits and resolve any conflicts.
  • Oversee safety protocols and enforce a safe working environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budget status, and potential risks.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor construction teams, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and other partners.
  • Ensure project documentation is properly stored and managed through software systems.
  • Collaborate with general contractors and architects to ensure project delivery aligns with approved designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong ability to interpret design plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with sports stadiums and multi-purpose venues is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Procore or Northspyre.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
