Medical Device Assembly

OVERVIEW SUMMARY: Performs a wide variety of mechanical assembly tasks in support of development and production projects in addition to on-going assembly technician duties. Understand and observe safety practices including but not limited to equipment maintenance; understand and perform quality at the source; meet work order and other sources of demand deliverables; identify non-value added activities and maximize resources utilization (cost). SQDC

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 2 years minimum experience in a clean room assembly; understand and support production demand requirements; support prototype and parts qualification builds, identify potential process improvements; assist engineering with MP’s, protocols, and reports; perform quality at the source, stop processes when out of specification and communicate with manufacturing tech lead; understand and communicate with stock room regarding material requisitions; properly execute data entry transactions to ensure the integrity of ERP systems.

Able to read and utilize work orders, travelers, lab notebooks and computer applications (e.g. Excel/Word) as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

Self starter; motivated individual not requiring supervision to complete assigned tasks; ability to operate manufacturing equipment and learn to operate new machinery; write short correspondence and effectively present information to other employees; computer knowledge; experience in transfer of products into production; familiarity with test and measurement equipment such as calipers, pin gages, load cells and pull test platform; experience in fabrication of medical devices and clean room manufacturing; experience in coordination of production builds in a dynamic environment; experience utilizing a microscope for assembly.

Physical Demands
Majority of work is completed while sitting with a moderate amount of standing;
Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Working Conditions
Able to work in non-regular time frames with the flexibility to work extra hours as needed, limited exposure to a number of chemicals.

Well ventilated and illuminated work area.

Education and/or Experience:
High school degree preferred and or a minimum of 2 years experience in clean room assembly, knowledge of data management software such: Oracle, SAP, ERP, etc
